What Are the Alternatives to an AI New Year Video Generator?
There are four main alternatives: a general-purpose AI video platform with a monthly credit plan (for example Runway, Pika or Luma, with paid plans from $8–$25 a month billed yearly on their own pricing pages, checked Nov 4, 2026), the built-in effects and templates inside short-video and photo apps, editing a clip yourself with stock footage and text, or a single-purpose generator like this one, where one finished 10-second New Year video costs $2.99 with no subscription.
Prices checked on Nov 4, 2026 on each provider’s own pricing page. Prices and plans change; always check the source before you buy.
| Option | Best for | How you pay | Effort |
|---|---|---|---|
| General AI video platform | Many videos, your own prompts, editing tools | Monthly or yearly credit plans | Medium: pick a model, write prompts |
| Built-in effects in short-video and photo apps | Quick effects inside the app you already use | Depends on the app; often in-app | Low, but limited to what the app offers that week |
| Edit it yourself | Full control over text, music and timing | Your time, plus any stock or editor costs | High |
| Pay-per-video generator (this site) | A few finished holiday or trend videos | $2.99 per video, $6.99 for 3, $14.99 for 10, one-time | Low: upload one photo, pick a scene |

When is a general AI video platform the better choice?
When you want to create many different clips, write your own prompts, try several models or edit inside one tool. These platforms are built for ongoing creative work, and their monthly credits go further if you use them every month.
When is a pay-per-video generator the better choice?
When you just want one or a few finished, ready-to-post videos for an occasion, such as New Year, Christmas or a current trend, without learning prompts or keeping a subscription. Here every video has a fixed price, failed videos give their credit back and each paid video has one redo.
How much does it cost?
| Pack | Price | Per video |
|---|---|---|
| 1 video | $2.99 | $2.99 each |
| 3 videos | $6.99 | $2.33 each |
| 10 videos | $14.99 | about $1.50 each |
One-time payments through Stripe, no subscription; credits never expire and work for every preset and every New Year scene. Sales tax may be added at checkout.
