A good New Year AI video generator shows unedited real samples, gets the year digits right, exports vertical 9:16 without a watermark, states the full price before you upload, returns credits for failed videos, deletes your photo quickly and needs no subscription. Use the seven checks below on any tool, including this one.
1. Are the samples real and labelled?
Look for samples that say how they were made: from which photo, on which date, with which settings, and whether they were edited or cherry-picked. Stock-photo samples should say “stock model, not a customer”. A gallery of perfect clips with no labels tells you little.
2. Do the year digits stay readable?
Ask whether the digits are drawn into a start frame first or left to the video model. Pure video models often mangle “2027” by the last second. Pause a sample on its final frame and read the year.
3. Is the output vertical and big enough?
For TikTok, Reels and Shorts you want 9:16, at least 720×1280, and a length of roughly 6–15 seconds. Check whether the vertical format is native or a crop from a wide video.
4. Is there a watermark on what you pay for?
Many tools watermark free outputs. Make sure the paid download is clean and that it is an MP4 you can keep, not only a share link.
5. What happens if it fails or looks bad?
AI video fails sometimes. A fair tool returns the credit for a failed render automatically and gives you some way to retry a result you dislike. Read the refund policy before paying, not after.
6. What happens to your photo?
Check how long uploads are kept, whether they are used to train models, and whether there is an age limit and a consent rule for other people’s photos.
7. What is the total price?
Look past “from” prices: count what one finished, watermark-free video costs including any subscription that renews. One-time payment without auto-renewal is easier to control.
